INTRODUCTION

Many of us remember with pleasure the time spent on grampa's legs, listening to his stories and making sure not to lose one single word of his adventures.
By sharing their memories their experiences became our experiences, their mistakes our mistakes, and their goals our goals. These stories were passed from generation to generation to keep memories alive and to teach younger people the value of a life spent according to different habits and traditions.
As we grow up we feel even more the need to turn towards the elderly, the need to talk to them, the need to listen to the stories of their lives.

When we find the time to sit down with them, we discover an extremely fascinating world. The Memoro Project wants to bring a bit of this magic to everyone. The video is the chosen media because it transmits the meaning with a "pure" message: the voice, the expressions, the gestures of each protagonist are part of their story that cannot be lost.
Internet is the chosen media to spread the videos because only the web has such a flexibility, availability, accessibility and it also guarantees to anyone the possibility to contribute to new content. And, last but not least,
Internet is the media of the new generation, the custodian of our featured memories.

WHAT IS THE MEMORO PROJECT

The Memoro Project is a non profit online initiative dedicated to collecting and divulgating short video recordings of spontaneous interviews with people born before 1940. An editorial staff identifies and authenticates the material uploaded by the volunteers involved in the project.
The Memoro Project was created by Memoro S.r.l. with the financial support of the Province of Cuneo. In exchange for visibility on the portal, we are seeking sponsors with a strong ethical code.
Any profit will be devolved into charity to associations supporting the elderly and/or the children, creating a link between the generations.

OPERATION

The Memoro Project is nothing more than a collection of classified content.

What makes it special is the contents itself.

The featured material is collected in two different ways: there are the interviews made directly by the Memoro's staff, and those made voluntarily by people all around the world. All of them are easily uploaded on the website after a careful overview made by the editorial unit that does some basic editing work and classifies the interviews by their subjects, authors and themes. When possible, the videos will be uploaded in high definition for a better quality.

Collaboration ad hoc with local organizations will be taken in consideration in order to deepen the knowledge of particular historical and cultural heritages.

Finally, a special section online will be dedicated to the sponsors, and to their memories. Our idea is to offer them to interview their older employees in order to collect stories related to their companies. As all the others, these videos will be available on the website.

ECONOMIC MANAGEMENT

The Memoro Project is a project capable of generating cultural and economic wealth.
This wealth is not cumulated but distributed: the cultural resources are shared by making the interviews available online and the economic resources are donated to charity organizations.

This model must be sustainable.

To our sponsors, that make all this possible thanks to their vital support, The Memoro Project gives the opportunity to become part of an event that contributes to the preservation of a socio-cultural patrimony, while developing at the same time solidarity's activities.

Finally, The Memoro Project wants to be a project that generates employment. We want to offer a serious opportunity for career advancement, one that attracts and satisfies citizens of a society with solid social responsibilities.
